Perfect match for German or free to air channels from many countries, the new DigiPlus 4k from German makers Technisat is fast and well specified.
It has a separate 12 volt power unit. Its an excellent Technisat’s brand of power unit, not a cheap Chinese generic – fails after guarantee and one day.
The tuners are full range, easy to set up, not as complex as settings in a Linux Enigma box, but suits 99.9% of customer set ups, which is usually German + UK or German + French.
The interface is ci+ full spec. Fransat cams (notoriously difficult ) work perfectly with these receivers.
2 USB sockets are useful when you want a recording device AND a dongle for WiFi connection.
Can be set up for central Network drives but may struggle with Sky networks, so get a network device that is properly specified.
One disappointment for users with a motor dish in mind, a feature on all Technisats so far, is missing, although diseqc 1.2 is standard, USALs is not available. So if you want this receiver you’ll have to set up all the dish positions by hand.
