to installing Saudi Arabia Satellite TV here in the Uk

Saudi Arabia has channels on at least 3 satellites, 2 of which are accessible from the Uk. Hotbird only requires a very small 64cm dish in most parts of the Uk, BADR4 ( formerly Arabsat ) is possible in the Midlands and South with a 1.1 or 1.2m size dish although reception varies and may occasionally fade out. Most London areas and further south are ok with 1.1metre. Nilesat is only really possible in the far South and needs a sheltered 1.3 metre or larger dish.

The dish for Saudi channels on this satellite requires quite a large dish , I recommend a 1.1 m or 1.2 metre dish. It can only be installed on a wall, where there is adequate shelter from the wind. Or on a ground mount - but there are then other costs involved such as concreting in and the ground stand itself. Concrete also requires some 5 days to dry out thoroughly before work on the ground stand can start. |
