Guide to installing Romanian Tv here in the Uk
The W2 Satellite was due to be replaced with a more powerful satellite but disaster struck ( details ) and the new satellite was not able to be put into use, so we still have the problem of weak signal. However a 1 metre dish will enable you to get a perfect picture. The recent addition of the Intel 10.02 satellite for Digi tv Ro. subscription tv makes reception much easier , with a more reasonable 80cm dish required but with a proprietory box sold only by Digi tv in Romania. Probably the best all round subscription option is the Akta package as it can be received with our standard equipment and a card, long term this is the easiest to maintain should faults occur. Recently ( Aug 2011) Antena1 and TVR1 have been encrypted so are no longer available fta ( free )
Using a 2 LNB dish of 1metre it is possible to include the Hotbird Romanian channels with the Eutelsat free ones in Package 1a below. The Amos satellite also broadcasts a number of free Romanian channels, but is too far away from the others to use a fixed or Multi sat dish, instead a Motorised dish can be used.

What choice of Satellite Receiver will I get with this package? The Digi tv Romania requires a special Nagra3 receiver which will be supplied by the card seller. Card and box are matched so cannot be sold separately. Card has to be registered to activate it. |
